Wow, when I said I was going to be busy this summer I had no idea. Not that being busy is a bad thing, seeing as I'm busy riding.

I have been working really hard with Sue. She has lost a lot of weight since I got her and is coming along great! I've taken her to a couple small shows since then and she has been doing very well, she even got 2nd in show hack at the last one (and it was a huge class!). I've got another show this weekend that I'll be taking her to.

Elliott has been coming along great with his training, too. It doesn't seem like much right now, our sessions are usually no longer than 40 minutes (which includes his grooming, ground work, and riding) and the extend of our riding includes "walk on" and "whoa." However, considering that 3 months ago I couldn't get him to even play the driving game (Parelli) at a very basic level without him rearing up and taking off, I'd say he has come a long way! In fact, I think pretty soon he'll be ready to start trotting!

I'm also working with my two Appy girls, Penny and Gracie, but nothing too thrilling to report there. And, I'm spending time with Cote, my little pony.

I've also gotten myself addicted to 21 Jump Street, the show that Johnny Depp got his start on. I was never a huge Depp fan, I liked some of his stuff but I wouldn't go see something just because he was in it. But, I have been a fan of older TV shows so it was inevitable that I would find this one eventually. I love it! And, my love for Jump Street made me rent Cry-Baby, also starring a young Johhny. It's a great movie!

Anyways, I'm going to try to get on DA more often but don't be surprised if I'm not. Like I think I've said before, I'm usually really busy in the summer and unfortunately that doesn't leave much time for DA or manips.
