I am so sick of working on this. I feel like it's missing something but I just don't care anymore. I've been working on this for about a month now and I'm ready to move on.

Despite all that, I'm still pretty happy with this. It's not perfect, but I like the general idea of it. Originally I planned to make a manip based off the song "Falling Slowly." All the stock I used, and the concept was all based off that song. But, then I heard the song "Take A Giant Step" by The Monkees and I thought it fit this even better.

I spent most of my time working on the black horse's mane and tail. I'm still not entirely happy with them, but they turned out okay I guess. I'm terrible with water, but those are the best splashes I've ever done so even though they aren't great I'm still happy with those. I hate how the reflection turned out. I love how the other horse and the background turned out.

Comments and/or favs are more than appreciated. Thoughtful/useful critique is also welcomed.

God I love your work. It's always so gorgeous! Do you use a tablet? What program do you use? Your work is so pretty. I don't think you've ever done one picture I haven't fallen in love with.

Guns make you stupid. Better to fight your wars with duct tape. Duct tape makes you smart.

You're welcome. Than you for the kind comment. :aww:

Oh wow, thank you so much! :glomp: I do use a tablet, I have a 4x5 Graphire4 but that's been replaced with the Bamboo line now. And I use Photoshop Elements 3, which came with my tablet. :aww:

Eee! Those splashes are great! o.o What brushes did you use?

I really like the text as well as the blend of warm and cool colors and the dark horse's tail. The mane looks a bit on the thin side, though the shape seems alright; maybe just try making duplicate layers of the mane to thicken it up? The something missing might be a touch of land. x-x Dunno. I just think that whatever is missing, is right there where water and sky meet.

Crazy or insanely smart?
You only think you know. =3

Thanks so much! I can't remember where I got the brushes, I've had them on my computer for awhile now. I think I just googled "Photoshop water brushes."

You're right about the black horse's mane being thin. I tried duplicating it, but it looked worse. I would have redone it, but I was feeling lazy. =P And that's a good point about the land, I suppose that could be it. *thinks*

Anyways, thanks again, I'm glad you like it.
