When April Ends

This is something I've been wanting to do for awhile but wasn't really sure exactly how to go about it. It was this piece by that inspired me to just do it. I hope you don't mind.

This was also inspired by the song "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day.

Anyways, November always used to be my least favourite month. The weather is wet, cold, and gross. I can't ride and it's usually the time we start bringing the horses in at night, thus it's when I have to start cleaning stalls everyday again.

But after we lost those three horses back in April I find myself welcoming this weather. I'm just glad that there's no thunderstorms or lightning this time of year. I don't feel the need to stay home in case the weather changes and I "need" to run out and bring the horses in.

Unfortunately I have almost no pictures of Neiko. (That's why I carry my camera with me almost everywhere now.) So I took that as an opportunity to try recolouring. The grey horse used to be palomino. It's not the greatest recolouring, but I think I did pretty good considering it was my first try. I originally wanted to use a picture of Elliott as the other horse, but when I tried using him I didn't like how it turned out. I used Penny instead.

I also tried changing the eyes. I love how the eye on the grey turned out!
